NorthWest Student Exchange seeks caring, community-minded individuals nationwide to become Local Foreign Exchange Student Coordinators (Area Coordinators) for our J-1 High School Exchange Program, designated by the U.S. Department of State.
As an Exchange Student Coordinator in your community, you’ll recruit and support volunteer host families, assist high school foreign exchange students, build relationships with local schools, and help create life-changing cultural exchange experiences.
Whether you’re an educator, parent, retiree, community leader, or simply passionate about international/cultural education, this rewarding, flexible position allows you to:
Help international high school exchange students experience American family life and education
Recruit and support volunteer host families in your local community

No previous exchange student program experience is required. Come join the NWSE Team and help us build bridges across cultures for international learning and friendship! Whether you want to coordinate and supervise just 1 or 2 students – or 10 to 20 or more, if you enjoy working with people, building community relationships, and helping young people succeed, we’d love to welcome you to the NWSE team.
