Yu from Japan, 2013–14
Feb 05 2018
“When I was fifteen years old, I decided to study abroad in the U.S. I began in Utah, eventually moving to Wisconsin, where I will be graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Every student has different reasons for studying abroad. For me, it was an opportunity to take a different path in my life and try something new and challenging. Through studying abroad, I learned to be self-reliant and gained a better awareness of others. My experience in the U.S. pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and opened my eyes to a different culture, language, religion, and education system.”
